What Work From Home Jobs Can I Do?
It’s a common question that we see so often: what could I possibly do from home?
And the answer: the possibilities are truly endless.
But for the sake of not trying to be all things to all people I will say this - whatever your skills lend themselves to. In The Work From Home Revolution Facebook Group we’ve been doing the Rebel Skills Series Live for the past few weeks.
Mainly because we were seeing a gap. People could take an inventory of their skills and come up with things like: administration, customer service, graphic design, PowerPoint, organization, accounting, people-ing, etc.
But overall, many of the wonderful people within the group couldn’t bridge the gap between “skill” and the application of the skill within the entrepreneurial world.
And what I’ve been noticing as Tara and I have been brainstorming and connecting the dots between skill and application…is just how many of these skills are interrelated. Customer service, for example, is the foundation for good copywriting, good coaching, good graphic design…because it is how you understand people. How to listen to and talk with people.
So the exciting part of this process is to see what you can ADD ON to Customer Service to create your own life by design doing something you are IN LOVE with that doesn’t feel like work.
If you would have asked me five years ago what I was good at, I would have told you “customer service”…and not much else. I was working in a job WITH wonderful people, but doing tasks that I wasn’t passionate about nor particularly gifted in. It drained me.
Since transitioning to the freelance world, I have added graphic design to my customer service skillset. Doing design requires me to listen to people, observe people, get to know people, and communicate with them effectively.
My challenge to you is: what can YOU add on to your basic skillset that you can create a freelance career out of?
