"I don't want to sell. I don't want to fail."
These are two of the most common excuses we see for why people talk themselves out of freelancing and having a life they truly want to live.
But then...we see them SELLING the multilevel network marketing products, which will ultimately lead to " failing "...
Why is that?
1) Because MLM is a level #2 business in our Rebel framework. You need enough eyeballs on the products for enough percentage to buy for you to have enough profits to replace your income. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT to do this because you don't have a big enough circle (a.k.a. friends and family) and you don't know how to tap into the power of the internet to make it successful. You hate selling because you don't know how!
2) There is lots of effort for very little reward. You aren't passionate about it - you are doing it for the money and not the purpose. And because of that, most MLMs require you to reach a quota each quarter, so if you don't reach that, you don't want to invest anymore money or time making it work, and then you quit so now you believe you failed.
I often wonder how many people realize they are self-sabotaging themselves by doing this.
It's almost as if they already know it's not going to work, so they sign up anyway to make it feel like they've made an effort, only to prove to themselves when it doesn't work, that they can't possibly do anything else that might be difficult.
GASP! (I said what I said.)
If you are feeling this, then I'm talking to you.
Stop trying to reinvent the wheel that doesn't roll with ease, and start learning the one that does...a.k.a. - a level #1 business in the Rebel framework, which is a service-based business.
You can't fail with something you know how to do.
